Milovan Milivojević, the father of the deceased worker Milomir Milivojević from Lučani, who has been leading a legal battle for years for the truth about his son’s death, had a pile of manure dumped near the greenhouse in front of his house. As Milivojević told N1 – “everything is being done deliberately”. “This is a huge attack on me, revenge for everything I did. All those people are tied to the factory, they work in the factory, they work for the factory,” he stated.
“Who in their right mind could, in the 21st century… A man who is 73 years old (…) in front of your house, not even ten steps to my gate and terrace, in front of my greenhouse where my wife is supposed to pick tomatoes and cucumbers for our two-year-old granddaughter – bring ten tractor trailers of unburnt stable manure,” Milivojević said for N1.
“I went to work without any problems, carefree. From 4 p.m. my wife called me constantly – she says: here is Milorad Pantelić, known as Žućo, in front of our greenhouse, he started hauling manure, live manure with slurry, it stinks, I can’t approach the greenhouse, nor open the window, it’s impossible to breathe on the terrace,” he said and added that Pantelić mows a nearby field, and that he has 10-15 cows.
When asked how much manure was dumped, Milivojević said that they were doing it from 4 p.m. until around 10 p.m., and that there was a huge pile.
“That Milorad Pantelić Žućo (…) with whom we have never quarreled or looked askance at each other in our lives, is the closest neighbor of Zoran Pantelić, the owner of Panekspres, who is now calling the shots after the director’s death, he is the main guy here in Lučani,” he said.
“Causal link”
When asked if this incident has anything to do with everything that has been happening for years, that is, with the legal battle he fought against the factory and went public with, Milivojević says – it is a causal link.
Speaking about whether it can also be connected to the play “Our Dedicated Labor” about the tragedy in Namenska and their family, he said that he had thought about that too because the play was performed on June 27 in Kraljevo.
“It spread, it was on social media and announced that it would be played from autumn. It probably reached someone’s ears in Lučani. It is painful, hard to listen to and watch, but I am glad and pleased that someone remembered my late son, me, and my family, to make a play based on a true event,” he said.
He also pointed out that last year Zoran Pantelić’s brother prevented him from using water at the cemetery.
“I put a hose on the tap and wanted to wash the sidewalk, not even ten minutes passed, Bane Pantelić appeared, the biological brother of Zoran Pantelić, and the water just disappeared. What’s going on – I look, he came up there, took off the hose and threw it, said it was his land,” he said and added that after that he received information that the water was brought by the local community and the municipality.
As a reminder, in an explosion at the dedicated industry factory plant in Lučani, on July 14, 2017, worker Milojko Ignjatović died on the spot, and his colleague Milomir Milivojević (25) sustained severe injuries from which he died two weeks later at the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade.
In the retrial for the accident at the “Milan Blagojević – Namenska” factory, one of the managers at the time, Vladimir Lončarević, was acquitted, and the sentence for the other – Tomo Stojić, was reduced to two years in prison.
In the first-instance proceedings, they had been sentenced to three years in prison each for a serious offense against public safety.
The first accused, Radoš Milovanović, director of the factory, passed away in 2022.
Milovan Milivojević stated back then, after the retrial, that the acquittal for one, and the reduction of the sentence for the other accused, was a “mirror of Serbia” and a “shame and disgrace.”
