A YouTuber known by the online alias “Pharaoh” was arrested on Friday evening on suspicion of promoting child sexual abuse and exploiting minors for pornographic purposes.
After videos were detected on several social media platforms in which the account known as “Pharaoh” allegedly promoted child sexual abuse and the exploitation of minors for pornographic purposes, officers from the High-Tech Crime Unit of the Technical Directorate, in cooperation with the Police Department in Sremska Mitrovica and the Special Department for High-Tech Crime of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, identified the account’s user as M.R. (born in 1995) from Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia’s Ministry of the Interior (MUP) announced.
According to the ministry, criminal complaints had already been filed against him in 2025 and 2026 for the criminal offenses of illegal sexual acts and sexual harassment, after he allegedly attempted to sexually assault several underage girls.
“By order of the competent prosecutor’s office, the suspect was brought the same day to the premises of the Police Department in Sremska Mitrovica, after which a search of the apartment and other premises he uses was carried out. Electronic devices were temporarily seized, with a receipt issued, for further forensic examination,” the MUP statement said.
However, questions have been raised about why authorities did not act earlier despite multiple criminal complaints that had already been filed against M.R., and why the arrest came only after a disturbing music video began circulating on social media.
The controversy erupted following the release of the music video for the song “Mark of the Beast”, parts of which were filmed inside a children’s playroom surrounded by toys. In the video, Pharaoh appears in an icon-style image labeled “Holy Daddy,” while a girl who appears, based on her voice and appearance, to be very young says:
“Holy Daddy, I haven’t been good. Will you punish me?”
The performer replies:
“Of course, sweetheart.”
The video then shows a young woman lying in a field while Pharaoh covers her mouth with one hand and occasionally strokes her, as another person writes “Holy Daddy” and “Pharaoh” on her thigh.
Later in the video, the performer—wearing black contact lenses—orders the girl to sit down while giving degrading instructions such as, “Head down, eyes up, tongue out,” while the phrase “Yes, Daddy” is repeated throughout the song.
Among the lyrics drawing the strongest criticism are the lines:
“She’s not even 18, but she wants to party / She’s got a picture of an ID, it must be some mistake / She keeps texting ‘ah, ah,’ her notebook is empty / She says she never studies, but with me she knows everything.”
Below the video, Pharaoh included a disclaimer stating:
“The video and the song do not mock religion. Neither Jesus nor God is shown anywhere. May God judge everyone according to their deeds and the kind of person they are.”
Ombudsman: “The Competent Authorities Must React”
Speaking to Blic about the case, Serbia’s Ombudsman said that content accessible to children through digital platforms carries a special responsibility and called on the relevant institutions to respond.

On its official website, where the prijavipedofiliju@mup.gov.rs address is published, Serbia’s Ministry of the Interior states:
“If you have information about the sexual exploitation of minors for pornographic purposes on the internet, send an electronic message to the email address of the High-Tech Crime Department.”
