A thirteen-year-old boy from Bosnia and Herzegovina was killed in a traffic accident that occurred in the German town of Gerabronn, in the federal state of Baden-Württemberg.
According to information from the German police, the boy was riding an electric scooter when a collision occurred at an intersection with a passenger car driven by a 52-year-old driver. According to the investigation data available so far, it is suspected that the boy did not yield the right of way when entering traffic.
Unfortunately, the injuries sustained were fatal and the boy passed away at the scene of the accident.
Particular public attention was drawn to information that the car driver did not immediately call emergency services after the accident, but, according to the police, went home and only then notified the competent authorities. The circumstances of this action are the subject of an official investigation.
The identity of the deceased minor has not been officially released, in accordance with child privacy protection rules. Regional media state that the boy was from Čapljina.
The German police are continuing to conduct an investigation to determine all the circumstances of this tragic traffic accident.
