Dragan P. was killed last night in the explosion of an explosive device in the yard of a family home in Starčevo, while two other people were injured.

One person was killed and two others were injured in the explosion that occurred last night in the yard of a family home in Starčevo, near Pančevo. The victim was identified as Dragan P., while the two injured men were transported to a medical facility for treatment.

According to a statement from Serbia’s Ministry of the Interior (MUP), the explosion occurred after an explosive device was activated. Police immediately secured the scene after receiving the report, and the investigation is being conducted in cooperation with the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Pančevo.

According to unofficial information, the tragedy occurred while several people were socializing in the yard of the house with music playing. According to those reports, three men were tossing a grenade to one another when the explosive device was activated.

Dragan P. died at the scene from the injuries he sustained, while the other two men were injured and received treatment at the appropriate medical facility.

Members of the Ministry of the Interior are continuing their investigation to establish all the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident, as well as the cause that led to the activation of the explosive device.
