“NO QUESTION OF DISMISSAL”: Dačić Reveals Novi Sad Police Chief Transferred to New Duty!
Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dačić announced that Goran Radonjić, the former head of the Police Administration in Novi Sad, has been assigned to the position of Assistant Chief of the Command Operations Center at the Ministry’s headquarters.
“Regarding various false and malicious interpretations and attacks on the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the police, I want to say that within the Police Directorate, specifically after the appointment of the police director, a series of changes in the organizational structure and personnel solutions in certain administrations have occurred and are occurring,” Minister Dačić stated, as conveyed in a Ministry of Internal Affairs press release.
Dačić further specified that changes occurred in three regional police administrations, as well as in one administration at the Ministry’s headquarters and the Internal Control Sector.
Regarding Novi Sad, the minister said that, in accordance with an earlier agreement, the former head of the Police Administration in that city has been assigned to the position of Assistant Chief of the Command Operations Center at the Police Directorate’s headquarters in Belgrade.

No Dismissal, But a New Role
“There is absolutely no talk of any dismissal, and especially not of a dismissal after certain events and interventions concerning individual participants in gatherings,” Minister Dačić emphasized.
He stated that today all opposition leaders are allegedly lamenting the supposed dismissal of Goran Radonjić, despite having called for his removal from day one, while Dačić himself, it was noted, had always defended him from their attacks until now.
“This shows how hypocritical their accusations are. This is not about any dismissals. This is about taking on a new position located here in Belgrade at the headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, specifically the Police Directorate,” Minister Dačić said.
