Israel bombed the center of Lebanon‘s capital Beirut early this morning, killing at least six people, after its forces suffered the deadliest day on the Lebanese front in a year of conflict against Hezbollah.
Israel announced that it carried out an air attack on Beirut, and as reported by the Guardian, residents testified that they heard missiles, followed by a huge explosion.
The footage shows the floor of the apartment building burning.
Residents living in nearby areas began to flee, speeding away on scooters and cars.

According to the Guardian, the Israeli military hit a medical center belonging to the Hezbollah-linked Islamic Health Organization, the second airstrike on downtown Beirut this week.
At least six people were killed and seven wounded, Lebanese health officials said, adding that another 46 people were killed in Israeli attacks on the city in the previous 24 hours.
The Israeli army announced earlier that it would target Beirut, and issued evacuation warnings.
In addition to the medical center, three missiles also hit the southern suburb of Dahieh, where Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed last week, and loud explosions were heard, Lebanese security officials said.
Another six people were wounded and transferred to hospitals.
It is the second Israeli attack on the center of Beirut since the beginning of the conflict between the pro-Iranian Hezbollah and Israel, on October 7, 2023.

Thousands of people are fleeing Lebanon as Israel carries out its heaviest airstrikes since 2006, when Hezbollah and the Israeli army fought a devastating war. Last night, planes carrying Lebanese citizens fleeing the country landed in Cyprus, and around 100,000 people, mostly Lebanese and Syrians, fled across the border into Syria, according to the UN.
