A five-year-old girl who was injured in a traffic accident in Kraljevo, when a car veered off the road and struck several pedestrians on the sidewalk, has died at the Tiršova University Children’s Clinic. Another child, one and a half years old, was transferred to Belgrade with serious injuries.
The five-year-old child succumbed to her injuries after being transferred this morning from Kraljevo to the Tiršova University Children’s Clinic, Mirjana Krčevinac, director of Kraljevo’s “Studenica” General Hospital, confirmed to RTS.
The other child, a one-and-a-half-year-old boy, was also transferred to Belgrade with serious head and extremity injuries.
The accident occurred last night at 7 p.m., when a car veered off the road on Četvrtog kraljevačkog bataljona Street in Kraljevo and struck several pedestrians on the sidewalk.
Among those injured were a mother with a baby in a stroller and her older child. The children’s mother, who suffered serious injuries, was treated at the “Studenica” Health Center in Kraljevo.
