Jelena and Milica Njegomir, daughters of the late Merima Njegomir, have spoken out after their mother’s song became a regular feature at SNS rallies.
Students in blockades symbolically chose the song “Three Kisses” to accompany their election campaign. The SNS immediately “hit back,” and their unofficial anthem became “Rosemary,” a song performed by the late Merima Njegomir back in 1993.
Snežana Savić gave her opinion on students singing her song, and now Merima Njegomir’s daughters have also spoken out.
Jelena Njegomir commented on a post, voting for her mother’s song, but also revealed that she would vote for the Student List.
“I’m still voting for the first song, but on Sunday I’m voting for number 3.” Her sister Milica immediately followed suit, adding: “Same here! I’m marking number 3.”
The students’ anthem is Snežana Savić’s song, the one for Vučić; Vučić’s anthem is Merima Njegomir’s song, and her daughters are backing the students. 😂❤️ https://t.co/lMxkRaCbqp

Jelena later added that she was afraid people would get sick of “‘Rosemary.’”
“I just hope people don’t get sick of this iconic song in the meantime.”
Among other songs, Dara Bubamara’s “Strawberry Field” was also heard last night at the reception for students who had walked to Belgrade.
The chorus of the song goes: “That’s why I don’t like it when rosemary smells…,” which was their response to the current regime.
