Ismet K. (51), a businessman from BiH, who was kidnapped by unknown perpetrators on a forest road near the Berlin neighborhood of Waidmannslust, was found dead in Germany.
Ismet, who was kidnapped in Germany in April, was found dead on Friday in a wooded area near Potsdam. Berlin police initially declined to comment.
As a reminder, Ismet K. was kidnapped on April 23, 2026, in the Berlin district of Waidmannslust. That morning, unknown perpetrators forced him into a white van and drove him away in an unknown direction. Since then, police and prosecutors have been investigating the case under suspicion of a violent crime.
As BILD learned from investigative sources, the analysis of data from the 51-year-old’s mobile phone eventually led to the discovery of his body. He was found in a wooded area near the capital of Brandenburg, and his body was allegedly buried at a depth of more than one meter.
It is believed that the businessman died from massive blunt force trauma to the neck and head. According to unofficial information, since his disappearance, there has been no trace of the kidnappers, nor has his family received a ransom demand.
There is still no trace of the perpetrators. The Berlin Public Prosecutor’s Office plans to release new information about the case next week.
