Citizens who came today to support the protest at Slavija are being distributed material that is considered to be part of the students’ program for the elections.
One of the leaflets refers to what the students will do for the workers, and the other to what they will do for educational workers.
The leaflet lists what the current system is like and what the students will do for the workers.
Current system
Fixed-term work for a long period of years
Minimum wage that does not follow real costs
Hot meal allowance in the value of one dinar
Unregulated recourse for annual leave, often very low
Transfer to another workplace, without a justified reason
Inadequate protection against dismissal and declaration of technological redundancy
Denial of basic rights to workers with PP contracts
What will the students do?
Permanent employment after 12 months
Increase in the minimum wage and its alignment with inflation
Hot meal allowance in the value of 10% of the basic salary
Recourse for annual leave in the amount of the previous month’s salary
Legal protection against transfer
More frequent labor inspections and higher penalties for misuse of the law by the employer
Expansion of the legal category of worker to everyone who performs work for an employer.
