Aleksandar Jovanov, the young man who walked over 1000 kilometers on crutches with students, was beaten last night in Zrenjanin. Aleksandar announced this information on his Instagram profile.
Aleksandar Jovanov explained that last night he was going from Taroš to Zrenjanin, driving his girlfriend home, and when they entered Zrenjanin, they noticed a car following them.
In the car were four young men who followed and provoked them the whole time. He emphasized that the attack occurred when he parked and got out of the vehicle with his girlfriend.
“I got out of the car with her, took a few steps, three of them got out of their car. One stood to my left, two behind my back. I turned to that one guy, that guy started to hit me, I dodged and pushed them. At that moment, my girlfriend stood between us, I started to move her so he wouldn’t accidentally hit her, at that moment, when I turned my head, that one guy standing in front of me hit me in the chin. I fell unconscious, and when I fell, they kicked and stomped on me,” he said.
Aleksandar stated that he regretted everything that happened but that it would take much more to stop him.
This young man has visible injuries on his face from the attack.
To recall, Aleksandar Jovanov is an athlete, and he is also known to the wider public for student marches across Serbia. He walked on crutches from Zrenjanin to Vršac, as well as to other cities in Serbia.
