More than 10,000 signatures dropped during verification!

According to the documentation submitted to RIK, 223,933 voters were registered in the electronic list of support, while 220,003 statements of support were physically delivered.

During the count, it was determined that 3,544 statements were not legally valid. The reasons cited include a lack of the certifier’s name, signature, or stamp, lack of the voter’s signature, or the use of an invalid form. Those statements were subsequently withdrawn by the person who submitted the electoral list.

Verification of the remaining data revealed additional irregularities.

RIK determined that 5,154 persons were not entered in the unified voters’ register, while 1,253 persons supported the same electoral list two or more times. For another 921 persons, verification was not possible due to an incorrectly entered JMBG (unique Master Citizen Number), and for one person the JMBG was not entered at all.

In the end, 209,130 certified statements of voters were recognized as legally valid. RIK assessed that the conditions for the proclamation of the electoral list were thus met.

RIK also determined that the list meets the legal requirements regarding gender representation. It is prescribed that at least 40 percent of candidates on an electoral list must be members of the less represented gender, i.e., that among every five candidates there must be three members of one and two members of the other gender.
