KALEMEGDAN ON FIRE: Fire broke out in the lower part of the ancient fortress, firefighters immediately on the ground! (VIDEO)

A fire on Kalemegdan broke out today around 4 PM, and firefighters were immediately dispatched to the scene to extinguish the fire on a grassy area. According to available information, the fire is in Lower Kalemegdan, and one fire truck with three firefighter-rescuers is on the ground. This incident caused concern among citizens, who noticed smoke coming from the direction of the park and notified the competent services.

Intervention of firefighters and situation on the ground

Firefighters reacted quickly and proceeded to extinguish the fire on the grass, thereby preventing the spread of the fire to a wider area of Kalemegdan. According to police sources, there is currently no information about injuries or material damage. Also, the cause of the fire outbreak is not yet known, but the competent services will conduct an investigation to determine all the circumstances.

In the meantime, citizens were advised not to approach the part of the park where the fire occurred while the intervention was ongoing. In addition, the presence of firefighters and police on the ground allows for quick control of the situation and minimizes the risk of further spreading of the fire.
