Yugoslav writer, dramaturg, screenwriter, journalist, and conceptual artist, Goran Babić, has passed away at the age of 82.

According to information published today, April 26, by certain portals, Babić breathed his last in Belgrade.

The sad news was, as Jutarnji list states, first learned by Milorad Pupovac, who then passed it on to Dejan Jović, and it was subsequently publicly announced on social networks.

Goran Babić was born in 1944 in Vis. He spent his youth in Dalmatia and Herzegovina, and his mature years in Zagreb and, from 1990, in Belgrade.

He wrote about 70 books and filmed a dozen documentary films.

He left behind three daughters and grandchildren.

He saw himself as the last writer of great Yugoslav literature.
