The spectacular main event of UFC Fight Night in Belgrade delivered a huge victory for Serbian MMA fighter Uroš Medić, who defeated Daniel Rodriguez of the United States in just 29 seconds.
After Rodriguez managed to land a kick to Medić’s leg, the Serbian fighter responded in brutal fashion. He found a clean straight shot to Rodriguez’s body, sending the American to the canvas.
Medić immediately followed up with a relentless barrage of strikes to every part of Rodriguez’s body, forcing the referee to stop the fight. The stoppage sparked wild celebrations in the stands, with the crowd leaping to its feet in disbelief at the way Medić had finished the fight everyone had been anticipating throughout the evening—and for months since the UFC announced its arrival in Belgrade.
There were tears, overwhelming emotions, and flares in the stands as Uroš Medić celebrated his victory, while the crowd erupted into chants of his name in scenes that will be remembered around the world.
