A 23-year-old man was seriously injured in a shooting in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Novo Sarajevo last night, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton (MUP KS) announced.
The Novo Sarajevo Police Department was informed on September 2, at around 11:55 p.m., that a firearm had been used on Paromlinska Street.
Upon arriving at the scene, police officers determined that an as-yet unidentified person had fired a firearm, seriously injuring A. Č. (23) from Sarajevo.
The injured young man was given medical assistance at the Emergency Medical Center of the Sarajevo University Clinical Center, where he was kept for further treatment, N1 BiH reports.
The on-duty prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office was informed about the case and classified the incident as the criminal offense of causing general danger under Article 323, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

An investigation was carried out by members of the Police Administration of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs, while police continue working to determine all the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
A search is also underway for the person who fired the shots, as well as efforts to establish their identity.
