A team of four students from Serbia won first place and defended its championship title at the European Traffic Education and Safe Cycling Competition, held in Náchod, Czech Republic.

They are Pavle Jovičić from “Vojvoda Stepa” Elementary School in Belgrade, Miloš Miletić from “Vuk Karadžić” Elementary School in Potočac near Paraćin, Sara Risimović from “Branislav Petrović” Elementary School in Slatina near Čačak, and Milica Vasić from “14. oktobar” Elementary School in Barič, the Ministry of Education announced today.

The European Traffic Education Contest (ETEC) for elementary school children has been organized by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) since 1986. Its aim is to educate young people about traffic rules, reduce the number of accidents involving children on bicycles, and highlight the importance of road safety.

The statement said that Minister of Education in the Government of Serbia in a technical capacity, Dejan Vuk Stanković, congratulated the winners of the competition, which featured teams from 17 countries.
