The situation in the Middle East remains tense. The Israeli army carried out several strikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut on Sunday.
Hezbollah retaliated by firing 200 rockets at northern and central Israel. Late the previous day, reports emerged that Israel had agreed to a ceasefire agreement with the Lebanese group Hezbollah, supported by the United States, and that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is now working on how to present it to the public, should Hezbollah accept it, reported Israeli public broadcaster Kan.
According to reports, the goal is to present the ceasefire not as a “compromise” but as something that benefits Israel.
Israel has agreed to a ceasefire agreement with the Lebanese group Hezbollah, supported by the United States, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is now working on how to present it to the public, should Hezbollah accept it, Israeli public broadcaster Kan reported today.
As reported, the goal is to present the ceasefire not as a “compromise” but as something that brings benefits to Israel.
The ceasefire allows Israel to maintain the right to carry out military operations along the Lebanese-Syrian border, the Times of Israel reported.
