Nepalese authorities have announced that among the foreign tourists who went missing in the devastating flash floods is also Serbian citizen Enisa Leković from Novi Pazar. Her disappearance was reported by her daughter after she failed to answer calls.

The Nepalese government has published the names of hundreds of tourists who are still listed as missing after the floods, which have been confirmed to have claimed nearly 500 lives.

The list contains the names, dates of birth and nationalities of 537 foreign nationals with whom contact was lost after floods hit the area on Wednesday.

Among them are 178 Indian citizens, 65 Americans, 53 Ukrainians, 51 Malaysian citizens, 33 Australians and 33 British citizens.

The figures are changing rapidly as people are found and rescued; Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs had listed 596 foreigners as missing in an earlier official update from August 27, so the newer list of 537 indicates that the records are being updated.

The Embassy of Serbia in India, which covers the territory of Nepal on a non-residential basis, as well as Serbia’s honorary consul in Nepal, did not respond to questions about Serbian citizens in the area affected by the floods. The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which was also contacted, did not respond either.
