A 63-year-old worker was killed yesterday during work at the construction site of a business complex on Drinska Street in Novi Sad, the 192 newsroom has learned. According to initial information, a metal felling strip fell on him from a great height while a glass façade was being installed.
Workers who were at the scene state that the unfortunate man was wearing a protective helmet, but unfortunately, that did not save his life. He was urgently transported to the Clinical Center of Vojvodina, where he soon passed away.
The Novi Sad Police Department confirmed that the accident occurred, and an investigation to determine all circumstances of the tragic event is underway.
