Novak Djokovic amazed the world public – and not because of a victory or another racket, but because of the jacket in which he walked out onto the “Philippe Chatrier” stadium on Sunday evening.
In the first round of Roland Garros, the Serbian tennis player was better than Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard. Although he lost the first set to the home representative – in the continuation, he managed to tame his devastating serve and achieve triumph.
By simply stepping onto the court, Djokovic began his participation in his 82nd Grand Slam – thereby breaking the record previously held by Roger Federer and Feliciano Lopez.

Novak Djokovic reveals the story behind his special Wolf jacket 👀 pic.twitter.com/HnKeX7wPYc
However, he attracted the public’s attention with the gear he wore on the court. Actually, an unusual jacket, on the back of which a wolf was depicted.
“Well, the wolf is an animal with which I identify. Also, the protector of my people. You know, in Serbia, in the Balkans. That was a small part of the inspiration behind everything. And what is obvious… Clay, the orange color. Pelagia (Kolotouros), the creative director and designer of Lacoste, created this unique piece. I am proud to wear it. It is a bit hot now, but you know, I am happy if people liked it. That’s great,” Djokovic said.
