Four juveniles from Novi Sad have been placed in detention on suspicion of assaulting teenagers in front of the “Promenade” shopping center in Novi Sad, while two others are still being sought.
“The on-duty juvenile judge of the Higher Court in Novi Sad has ordered detention for up to one month for four juveniles charged with criminal offenses of violent behavior and serious bodily injury committed as co-perpetrators, due to specific circumstances indicating that their release could influence witnesses and because public disturbance could jeopardize the proper and fair conduct of the criminal proceedings,” the statement said.
An appeal against this decision is allowed before the Juvenile Panel of the Higher Court in Novi Sad.
Two more juveniles remain at large.
