The captain of the Serbian basketball team, Bogdan Bogdanović, is preparing to play in the NBA Cup semifinals in Las Vegas with his Atlanta Hawks, but recently he visited the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Atlanta, where he was greeted with great joy.

Popular Bogi, an Atlanta Hawks basketball player, is a welcome guest in the local Serbian church. He visited the temple recently on the day of a kotlićijada (a traditional Serbian gathering involving cooking in a cauldron) and a basketball tournament.

The parish priest, Father Miladin Blagojević, emphasizes that this is the only Serbian Orthodox church in the US state of Georgia.

“We recently had a basketball tournament. Bogdan was accommodating and found time to come and visit us, which was a really great joy for all parishioners, especially the younger population and children,” Blagojević told RTS.

He emphasizes that he is proud of all the famous Serbian personalities who have left a mark in America. “We have something to be proud of,” says Blagojević.

The Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul is always full of various activities, and one of the main ones at the moment is preparing for the Christmas holidays, when a particularly large number of people come to the church.
