European Parliament (EP) member Irena Joveva criticized Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico today for attending the campaign rally of the “Aleksandar Vučić – United Serbia” electoral list yesterday in Novi Sad.

“Of the 27 EU member states, Vučić somehow managed to find that one corrupt autocrat, an opponent of the EU, who was willing to come to Serbia and support his campaign. Like attracts like — that is absolutely true. The good news? One of them will leave power next week, and the other shortly afterward,” Joveva, who serves as vice-president of the Renew Europe political group within the EP, wrote on X.

Fico attended a rally organized by the Serbian Progressive Party in Novi Sad the day before yesterday, expressing support for the United Serbia electoral list and stating that “the Serbian authorities are pursuing a policy that brings people together.”
