Nina Macura, a young karateka, won the gold medal at the World Karate Championships in the under-16 category (over 61 kg).

Macura defeated Latvia’s Jelisaveta Avruskina in the final, securing the gold medal without a single defeat and with apparent ease. One of Serbia’s most talented karate athletes gave her opponents little room to maneuver, convincingly achieving her goal.

Nina, a member of Karate Club Pobednik, first defeated Cyprus’s Valeria Eftimia 2–0, then delivered a dominant performance against Spain’s Laura Torenteras Novillo, beating her by an emphatic 8–0.

Nina went on to defeat Turkey’s Sara Kaya by the same score in the next round, before overcoming Germany’s Kirana Podlaschevska 3–0.

In the semifinal, Nina was outstanding, and then some. She defeated Greece’s Anastasia-Eirini Pergalia 10–1.
