News that Miloš Janičić had finally signed a contract with the UFC and would compete at the upcoming Fight Night event in Belgrade Arena sent shockwaves through the MMA community, and now another blockbuster announcement has arrived. One of Serbia’s top female MMA fighters, Marina Spasić (7-1), has signed a contract with the world’s premier MMA promotion and is expected to make her debut at Belgrade Arena on August 1.
A form of official confirmation has already arrived, as the UFC has added the popular “Maki Beki” to its official roster, which can be seen by searching her name on the UFC website or app.
Although Marina was initially scheduled to compete at the Brave CF event in Pula in September, she received an offer that was impossible to refuse—one she had been waiting for for a long time. As a result, following her most recent appearance in Armada, Spasić will now step onto the biggest stage in the world.
Interestingly, with Marina’s signing, the “Car Dušan Silni” club will have five fighters competing at UFC Belgrade: Aleksandar Rakić, Duško Todorović, Miloš Janičić, Vlasto Čepo, and Marina Spasić. It is yet another testament to the outstanding work being done by Nemanja Milošević and his team.
