A four-member team of students from Serbia took first place and successfully defended its championship title at the European Traffic Knowledge and Safe Cycling Skills Competition held in the town of Náchod in the Czech Republic. The winning team consisted of Pavle Jovičić (Vojvoda Stepa Elementary School, Belgrade), Miloš Miletić (Vuk Karadžić Elementary School, Potočac near Paraćin), Sara Risimović (Branislav Petrović Elementary School, Slatina near Čačak), and Milica Vasić (October 14 Elementary School, Barič).

The prestigious competition (European Traffic Education Contest – ETEC) has been organized by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) since 1986, with the aim of educating young people about traffic rules and reducing accidents involving child cyclists.

The Serbian team achieved the best result among teams from 17 countries. Minister of Education in the technical mandate Dejan Vuk Stanković congratulated the winners on their gold medal and their outstanding representation of the country.
