Citizens of the capital gathered at the Republic Square to welcome the students walking from Petrovac na Mlavi to Novi Sad.
A red carpet was set up on the square in front of the Prince Mihailo monument.

A larger group of bikers also arrived and revved their engines on the square.
The students walked along King Alexander Boulevard, where citizens who were walking with them to the Republic Square joined them.

Along the entire King Alexander Boulevard, citizens are welcoming the students from Eastern Serbia and shouting slogans of support to them.
A huge number of people joined the students on the road from Kaluđerica to the Boulevard, so the column walking toward the center of Belgrade increased.

“We both did and didn’t expect this welcome; we expect nothing except for people to wake up,” said a student from the Teacher Education Faculty in Petrovac na Mlavi.
