Gatherings of citizens of Novi Sad tonight in front of the Faculty of Sports wrote messages that they took and posted on the doors of courts and prosecutor’s offices in that city.

“We do not recognize his pardons”, “the culprits must be punished for all the canopies we don’t know where they are”, as well as an obituary that reads “Constitution” are just some of the messages that the citizens of Novi Sad wrote.

They say that in this way they are supporting people in the judiciary who do their job professionally, but also to encourage those who are still afraid.

The plan is for all of them to see and read the messages tomorrow when they come to work.

After leaving the messages, the citizens’ gatherings went to the Campus where the “Freedom Zone” festival is taking place. There, they will wait with the gathered people until 11:52 p.m. when, like every evening, they will pay tribute to those who died in the collapse of the canopy at the Novi Sad Railway Station.

Cyclists also gathered in Novi Sad and went on a protest ride.

The citizens of Novi Sad came out tonight because they are revolted by the pardons of the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, who first pardoned four SNS activists who attacked students in that city in January and broke a student’s jaw.

On August 4, the president of Serbia also pardoned Milica Stojanović, who hit and seriously injured a female student with her car at a protest in Belgrade in January.
