U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that he has deserved to receive the Nobel Peace Prize several times already, including for his engagement in resolving the conflict between Serbia and the so-called Kosovo.
“They should have given me the Nobel for Rwanda, and did you see the Congo case? You can say Serbia and Kosovo. You can list many such cases. The biggest are India and Pakistan. I should have gotten the Nobel four or five times,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News.
A few days earlier, Trump announced on the “Truth Social” social network that he would once again engage in continuing the dialogue between Belgrade and Priština, emphasizing that during his first presidential term, he prevented an escalating conflict between the two sides.
“During my first term, Serbia and Kosovo were clashing fiercely, as they had for decades, and this long-standing conflict threatened to escalate into war. I stopped it. (Former U.S. President Joseph) Biden harmed longer-term prospects with some very foolish decisions, but I will fix it again!” Trump recently stated on his Truth Social network.
The Government of Pakistan has announced that it will formally nominate U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2026, citing his “decisive diplomatic intervention and pivotal leadership” during the crisis between Pakistan and India.
