In the early hours of Saturday and Sunday morning, a serious incident occurred in the eastern part of Munich where a woman and a man were injured with a knife.
Police announced that it was a double attempted murder, and the suspect, a 37-year-old Serbian national, was apprehended at the scene.
The incident took place around 1:10 AM on Adam-Berg Street. According to German media, the suspect arrived in front of the building where a 34-year-old woman, with whom he had previously been in a relationship, lives. For reasons currently unknown, he then attacked her and her 36-year-old acquaintance with a knife.
Despite severe injuries, the male victim managed to flee across the street, where he was later found. Police reacted quickly, arrested the assailant, and both victims were transported to the hospital. Their medical condition has not yet been officially released.
According to police spokesman Christian Drexler, traces of blood, as well as scattered clothing and bandages, were found at the scene. The investigation is being led by the Munich Police Homicide Department.
