Novak Đoković has expressed his support for students, professors, and high school students who have been protesting for weeks, demanding accountability for the tragedy that occurred at the Novi Sad railway station, where 15 people lost their lives.

The Serbian tennis player, holder of 24 Grand Slam titles, took to his X account on Wednesday evening.

“As someone who deeply believes in the power of young people and their desire for a better future, I believe it is important that their voices are heard.

Serbia has enormous potential, and educated youth are its greatest strength.

What we all need is understanding and respect. With you, Novak,” Đoković said, who previously supported protests against lithium mining in Serbia.

Nole will kick off the new season with a tournament in Brisbane, which begins on December 31.
