US Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump continue to have nearly equal voter support in seven key states, according to polls whose results were published.

Polls conducted by a bipartisan team of pollsters show that Harris has an advantage of between one and three percent in five states, which is within the margin of error, Politico reported.

Harris has a three-percent lead in Michigan, and a symbolic one to two-percent lead in Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

Trump has a two-percent lead in Georgia, while in North Carolina, Harris and Trump are tied.

In each of these states, the result is statistically unchanged from the last poll, which was conducted in mid-August.

In a May survey, when President Joe Biden was still in the race, Trump was leading in six states, while the result was tied in Wisconsin.
