Four days after the inspection of the Srbica municipality, with police assistance, closed the clinics in the villages of Banje and Suvo Grlo that functioned within the Serbian system, a new sign with the inscription “Ambulanta Banje” was placed on the facility in the village of Banje today, reports Kosovo Online.
In the header of the new sign, there is the coat of arms of the so-called state of Kosovo on the right side and the coat of arms of the Srbica municipality on the left, and the inscription “Ambulanta Banje” is written dominantly in the Albanian language, while two other versions, in Serbian and English, are located below.

Residents confirmed to Kosovo Online that the sign was placed today around 11:30 AM, at a moment when they were in front of the church for the traditional raising of the cross.
The Serbian List warned that this directly endangers the right to health care for the Serbian people and all citizens who used the services of those health institutions.
The director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, reacted to this, stating that it is a direct attack on Serbian health and educational institutions.

“To be quite clear, as confirmed by the residents, neither will Serbian doctors work under these symbols, nor will Serbian patients be treated under these conditions because they have trust solely and exclusively in the Serbian health system,” the Office for KiM conveyed in Director Petkovic’s statement.
Just as these clinics were violently and unlawfully closed ahead of Easter, the signs were likewise placed today unilaterally and without any consent from the Serbian people, bypassing all reached agreements, the statement says.
Petkovic warns that the issue of Serbian health institutions can only be resolved through dialogue, and never by “unilateral moves like those we are witnessing today, and we immediately informed the dialogue mediator Peter Sorensen of this new anti-Serbian move, who had presented and guaranteed that Serbian health institutions would continue to function unhindered.”
We demand that the resolution of this issue be immediately returned to the framework of the EU proposal, because the basic rights to treatment and primary health care of the Serbs in this enclave are being violated, Petkovic emphasized.
