The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, said that he spoke with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and that we received “a three-month extension of the gas contract under very favorable conditions,” N1 reports.
As he said, they discussed various topics.
He emphasized that the price on the stock exchanges today is around 645 dollars per thousand cubic meters, and that we would pay 690 if we were to take it that way. “And we essentially pay between 320 and 330 dollars, the extension is under the same conditions, six million cubic meters of gas per day. They are very flexible – if cold days come, flooded areas, they will allow us to import more,” he stated.
Vučić said that this makes Serbia the second or third country in Europe with the lowest gas price, “probably second, behind Belarus.”
He stated that he informed Putin about the alliance of Pristina, Tirana, and Zagreb.
“Oil is 115 (dollars per barrel) today, I am afraid that it will be higher as soon as tomorrow. Just so you know, the price of diesel at our pumps at this moment should be 273 dinars, as early as tomorrow it could go to 290 and 300, as much as it should be. How much the state can endure… We will endure for a while longer, no doubt. But people, if this catastrophe continues and if a ground attack happens to start, an attack on the islands belonging to Iran, the world will face the greatest catastrophe in its history, and that inevitably leads to political and war conflicts. Europe cannot endure this, no one can endure it,” he said.
