In Knjaževac, even after the closing of the polling stations, citizens are still gathered in front of the bus station. The number of police present is equal. “Knjaževac for Students” called for a gathering at the bus station due to, as they say, a fraud taking place there.
The subject is a bus station that has been under construction for years, and the residents of Knjaževac suspect that a sort of SNS headquarters is located in a premises inside. They also suspect that material resembling election material is located inside.
Citizens are demanding that nothing be taken out of there, assuming that an “election victory is being staged” in the station.
There are police on the other side of the street as well, as well as in the dark.
The head of list number 4 “Knjaževac for Students – Doctor Ivan Milošević” addressed the police and told them that when they leave, thugs will come and disperse the people.
An N1 reporter reports that during the day, in front of this area and three catering facilities, people entered and exited with some papers and materials that look like election materials, while police cars mandatorily monitored that area.
Dr. Milošević told N1 that a conflict, specifically a fight and the injuring of students, occurred at a polling station in Gornji Zunič.
“I received information that our fellow citizen from Knjaževac, Professor of the Faculty of Geography Mikica Sibinović, went to help the students and was beaten at that polling station. I was returning from the direction of Zaječar when I encountered two columns of about 15 vehicles of thugs. A local powerful man was in the first vehicle and they left in that direction at high speed. We have other points; we have a house in a suburban settlement where we located that some electoral illegalities were likely being carried out,” he said.
Speaking about the bus station, he said that it is not important if someone is inside, but what is inside.
“We received information again today that some illegal acts are being done here, that votes are being paid for. When I arrived, I found Member of Parliament Branislav Josifović (SNS). People close to him were on the platform. They were persistent about staying there,” he said.
It is not clear to him why the police are present, and the police refuse to answer that question.
“We have no problem with the people inside going to their homes, but we are against the material inside being taken out. Our assumption is that the material needed for altering the electoral will is there,” he said.
Speaking about Professor Sibinović’s condition, he says that he is undergoing examinations, that he has strong abdominal pains which can be dangerous, but that diagnostics are ongoing.
“The very situation where students are attacked at a polling station and a professor is beaten by people who are not from Knjaževac… I think that was a provocation to make us move away from here,” he said.
