Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said last night that the Security Intelligence Agency (BIA) had informed him that it had evidence that student representatives and his political opponents had lied about being wiretapped.

Speaking to TV Informer, he said he would not address the allegations of students being wiretapped and opposition leaders, claiming that the BIA had informed him that it had found evidence that they had all been lying.

It should be recalled that students in the blockade announced that at least 14 people in Serbia had been targeted with the extremely expensive Israeli spyware Pegasus, which is acquired by state agencies. The students learned that their phones had been attacked because of a notification sent to them by Apple.

BIA called these allegations “trivial sensationalism.”
