The traffic accident on Golija, in which Dušan V. (15) from Novi Pazar died, occurred, as suspected, because the driver was in an intoxicated state.
By order of the prosecutor on duty, detention was ordered for two individuals
Namely, as pointed out by the Traffic Police Administration, the traffic accident in which the young man died occurred due to unadjusted speed and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, when the driver lost control of the car, ran off the road, and hit an object next to the road.
The boy who died had, let us remind you, finished elementary school just a few days ago.
The car, after running off the road, hit a pole and overturned, and the teenager was thrown from the vehicle during the overturning and sustained severe injuries. Despite the efforts of doctors, he succumbed to his injuries.
The car was on its way to Golija, where a traditional assembly is being held these days, which gathers a large number of visitors from Novi Pazar and other regions every year.
According to reports, a group of young people set off towards this mountain to wake up the campers and attend the event, but the journey ended tragically.
There were three other people in the vehicle, one sustained severe bodily injuries, while two were lightly injured and were provided with medical assistance. Their health status has not been officially announced yet.
The news of the death of fifteen-year-old Dušan deeply shook his schoolmates, teachers, friends, and numerous citizens of Novi Pazar. Many are saying goodbye to the boy, whose life was tragically cut short, on social networks with emotional messages and expressions of condolences to his family.
The police conducted an investigation, and the circumstances under which this severe traffic accident occurred will be determined by an investigation.
