Serbian athlete Adriana Vilagoš won the Ostrava Golden Spike competition in the javelin throw discipline.

In the fourth series, she launched a throw of 64.87 meters, which was enough for first place.

Before that, she had attempts of 61.85 and 61.63, with one foul. In the fifth series, she threw 62.79.

She managed to finish ahead of Olympic champion Haruka Kitaguchi. The Japanese athlete led until the fourth series with a throw of 63.88 meters, which was ultimately enough for second place.

Only the third-placed Andrea Železná from the Czech Republic also threw over 60 meters.
