Aleksandar Đorđević, the renowned basketball player and coach of Turkish club Bahçeşehir, has sent a message of support to the Student List.

Đorđević reached out from Istanbul, sharing deeply emotional words:

“October 2026, Istanbul.
Swissôtel… The last time I was here was thirty-five years ago. This is where we set off on our quest for Partizan’s third European trophy. A winning three-pointer, three seconds before the end…

„Forgive me for falling silent for a moment…“

We were very young, some of us were still students. We felt proud and courageous, just like the young people of Serbia today.

And so, to you, with a deep bow, I also take my hat off, along with the obligation to place our older shoulders beneath your sneakers, dirtied by long marches of love and hope.

Reach for a brighter sky. You deserve it, much more than all of us who came before you,” Đorđević wrote.
