Croatian President Zoran Milanović and Prime Minister Andrej Plenković have entered into a new fierce conflict, this time over the participation of the Croatian Army in the military parade in Paris.
Milanović stated yesterday from Supetar that the soldiers would not go to the parade despite the invitation, accusing Plenković of hiding the invitation and now “hissing,” Index reports.
On the other hand, Plenković said that he expects the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Tihomir Kundid, to resign if he does not send the army to Paris.
Milanović said today that this is a serious topic and is very clear to anyone who wants to understand it.
“I will not behave like the current American president. Do you know what FAFO is? Find out. So, if you want to find out, just come to me. This is a technical attack on the position, stance, duty, and personal integrity of the Chief of the General Staff, but above all, it is clear that it is aimed at me. The goal here is to stifle and crush every form of intellectual and active resistance to the single-mindedness and single power of the Croatian Aleksandar Vučić. Nothing else,” Milanović stated.
At the same time, he added, Aleksandar Vučić, we know whom we are dealing with, is an authentic political leader, such as he is, and an authentic creator of what he created.
“That is by no means good. Plenković is none of that. He is an ordinary bureaucrat who, thanks to circumstances, rules, buys, and manipulates. Okay, live and let live, let others live. I don’t interfere, I have been measuring my words and minutes for the past few months, and then this happens,” Milanović stated.
