The German police are intensively searching for the girl Mia Rakić (9), who disappeared on Monday morning after being transported to the “Anna Seghers” Elementary School in the Berlin district of Adlershof.
According to the police, the transport service drove the girl to the school, but she never entered the school building. The disappearance was discovered only in the afternoon, when she was supposed to be picked up after the end of classes.
Mia has brown eyes, a stronger build, and long brown hair. There is a possibility that she is carrying a canvas bag with animal motifs.
The police announced that the investigation is being conducted in all directions and that this is the first time her disappearance has been reported. Investigators are checking whether the girl was properly handed over to the school after arriving by school transport. As part of the investigation, the children who were in the same vehicle that morning, as well as members of her family, will be interviewed.
The Missing Persons Unit of the State Criminal Police Office issued an appeal to citizens to help in the search. They are specifically looking for individuals who saw Mia on Monday after 7:50 a.m. in the vicinity of the school or have any information that could contribute to finding her.
Citizens can report information to the Missing Persons Unit of the Berlin police by calling (030) 4664-912444, via email at LKA124Hinweise@polizei.berlin.de, or at the nearest police station.
