The 34-year-old Serbian woman who is suspected of killing her partner, Kostas Siamitras, and then burying him in the yard of their house in Leptokaria in Pieria, was taken into custody after successfully “playing a performance” for five months, claiming that Kostas had disappeared.
The accused was brought to the Katerini courthouse this morning to testify, after which it was decided that she should be detained.
In about two and a half hours that she spent with the investigating judge, the suspected Serbian woman, who is six months pregnant, allegedly stuck to the story she told during the preliminary investigation – that she had an argument with the 58-year-old and that she pushed him, and he fell and hit his head.
“I wish I could turn back time. I really regret what happened. I care about the health of the child I have in my stomach and the future of my three-year-old boy,” she allegedly stated before the investigator.
“We want a compromise, an amicable solution. She is trying to maintain good relations with the victim’s family. She will seek custody or we will seek to secure the right to contact,” said the defendant’s lawyer.
According to the information, the first phase of the examination of Kostas’s remains has been completed, however, due to the fact that the body was in an advanced stage of decomposition, it will be necessary to perform additional bone analyzes in order to draw reliable conclusions about the cause of the man’s death.

Motive for the murder revealed?
The lawyers of the victim’s family believe that the suspect had an accomplice and that the motive for the murder was money.
“I think the motives were financial. They had financial disagreements, the motives were therefore obviously financial,” said Anastasios Dagas, the lawyer of the victim’s father and brothers.
The lawyers of the murdered man’s family have been emphasizing all along that the family believes that the Serbian woman had an accomplice.
“A woman cannot carry a man of that weight 30 meters by herself. From the very beginning, we believe that someone else was involved in the crime,” says Dimitris Miloneros, the lawyer of the victim’s daughter, and adds that they believe that the woman suspected of the murder also got rid of the family dog, so that it would not sniff the body in the garden.
As a reminder, investigators followed the Serbian woman’s activities for months, ever since Kostas’s disappearance was reported, and security cameras revealed that it was a crime and that his wife was involved, however, until recently they could not locate the body of the missing man.
In the end, the woman, under pressure, confessed to the police and revealed that she had tied him with wire, dragged him outside and buried him in the garden, after which the police found the body in the yard.
