In the “house of horror” in Brčko, two children spent five months, and their father stated that they had been paying the woman for childcare services. This information was shared yesterday by Federal Television journalist Suada Mujdanović, who spoke with the parent. As she added, parents came to the police yesterday to pick up their children.
“That parent lives in Banja Luka, and his wife is currently being interrogated here at the police station. They have six other children. She and those six children are currently living in the Republic of Croatia. Parents from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and even Italy are coming here for interviews and to pick up their children,” journalist Suada Mujdanović said.
She added that the children were placed in a hotel yesterday, and it is suspected that none of them are from the Brčko District, as reported by Nezavisne.

To recap, as many as 31 children were found in a family house in Brčko. Six of the children had Croatian passports, and it was determined that these were likely expired documents.
According to unofficial information obtained by Blic, the children were found in a family home, and allegedly, a woman, her son, and another person were taking care of them. The son is said to have worked as a court officer, and the 31 children were locked in a house. The children ranged in age from a few months to 12 years, and as reported yesterday, five people were arrested in connection with the case.

Multiple independent sources from Blic have confirmed that the police and the prosecution in Brčko are investigating all possible scenarios, one of which involves a family clan from the area who has previously been arrested for criminal offenses.
“Allegedly, they were taking care of children from their family whom the parents voluntarily left in their care, and some even paid for it. It is suspected that they then trained the children to beg and prepared them for relocation to one of the European countries. This is why the Croatian passports were invalid,” said a source from Blic.
