Finance Minister Siniša Mali has challenged Dejan Šoškić, former Governor of the National Bank of Serbia and one of the candidates on the Student List, to a TV duel. Mali challenged Šoškić via Instagram and, as he stated, is awaiting a response.

And so the practice of challenging people to TV duels has officially begun.

After Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić challenged the first candidate on the Student List, Dr. Ilija Srdanović, to a TV duel, Finance Minister Siniša Mali has now made the same move.

Mali used Instagram to challenge Professor Dejan Šoškić, a candidate on the Student List, to a TV duel.

“I am preparing to travel with our president to New York, but before I leave, I want to challenge Dejan Šoškić, the former governor of the National Bank of Serbia, during whose term hundreds of thousands of people lost their jobs, factories were shut down, and the exchange rate fluctuated wildly from day to day. I want to challenge him to a TV duel, so that we can confront our views, present our plans to the citizens of Serbia, with the economy and citizens’ standard of living at stake, which, after all, is what interests them the most,” Mali said.

He added that the TV duel could take place anywhere and at any time, with one condition.

“That the duel be live, since he already stole everything during his term as governor, so that he doesn’t steal that program too. I’m waiting for the call, I’m available,” Mali said.

As a reminder, Serbian President and leader of the “United Serbia” list Aleksandar Vučić challenged Prof. Dr. Srdanović to a television duel for the second time.

Let us recall that Srdanović responded to Vučić’s first invitation through the media, saying that he would “only talk to those who have something to say and know something.”

However, he responded to this second invitation briefly, with a four-word message on Instagram: “Being ignored is very painful.” By this, he was implying that what hurts the president the most is receiving no response to his invitation at all — in other words, simply being ignored.
