MILORAD DODIK ON RATKO MLADIĆ: Republika Srpska Will Not Forget Him, This Was an Organized Killing!

President of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats Milorad Dodik expressed his condolences to the family of General Ratko Mladić, who died in The Hague, and said that his death was difficult for everyone, but that Republika Srpska (RS) would not forget his role.

Dodik said that the death of Ratko Mladić was “truly a killing, because everything pointed to his poor state of health.”

“It was an organized approach that was supposed to lead to a fatal outcome… just as in the case of Slobodan Milošević,” Dodik said, as reported by Radio Television of Republika Srpska (RTRS).

“Republika Srpska, regardless of Sarajevo and political pressure from the West, remains committed to what Ratko Mladić represented. Republika Srpska will not forget his role, just as it has not forgotten it to this day,” Dodik said, adding that they had done everything they could to help him.

In an interview with TV Informer, Dodik agreed with the journalist’s assertion that Mladić had been killed in The Hague, given that everything pointed to his poor state of health.

“A man has died who was the commander of the Army of Republika Srpska in the struggle for the freedom of the Serbian people here, a commander who led the honorable Army of Republika Srpska from the very first day of its establishment, May 12, 1992. A man who undoubtedly demonstrated both his human and military character, regardless of the fact that, by inventing collective responsibility, they also dragged him into the story of responsibility for certain events,” Dodik emphasized.

He added that Mladić would probably have lived longer if he had received a different kind of medical assistance.

“It is becoming clear that this was done by this Mechanism solely so that he would, of course, die, because they did not know how to get themselves out of that situation and it seemed to them that this might be the solution,” Dodik said, adding that he was a man respected by the Serbian people.

Dodik stressed that Mladić, as the army commander, stepped forward to defend Serbs, not to commit any crimes against others.

“The Army of Republika Srpska was honorable, and that is why it cannot be found anywhere that it was convicted as an organization,” Dodik emphasized.

General Ratko Mladić, the wartime commander of the Main Staff of the Army of Republika Srpska, died today in a detention hospital in The Hague at the age of 83.
