A traditional military parade was held in Paris on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of France – Bastille Day, and the parade was also attended by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.

During the visit, President Vučić also attended a gala dinner hosted in honor of heads of state and government by the President of the Republic of France, Emmanuel Macron, on the occasion of this holiday, Vučić’s press service announced.

This is the first time that a president of Serbia has received an invitation to attend the military parade on the occasion of France’s national day, media outlets close to the Government of Serbia point out.

At the ceremony, Vučić was the only one representing a country that is not a member of NATO, nor the EU, nor the Coalition of the Willing (to help Ukraine).

The parade is organized in honor of July 14, 1789, when the Bastille was captured, which symbolizes the beginning of the French Revolution.
