The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade has filed an indictment against Saša Vuković Boske on suspicion that, on May 12, 2026, he murdered Aleksandar Nešović in a restaurant “27” in a premeditated manner, as well as for illegally carrying a firearm and ammunition.
The indictment charges Saša Vuković with the criminal offense of Aggravated Murder in conjunction with the criminal offense of Illegal production, possession, carrying and trafficking of weapons and explosive materials.
The indictment also includes Mario S., Nenad L., Petar U., Vuk Š. and Dejan S., who are charged with one criminal offense each of Assisting an offender after the commission of a criminal offense, due to reasonable suspicion that they helped Saša V. avoid detection by concealing evidence of the crime.
The indictment has been submitted to the Higher Court in Belgrade for a decision on confirmation, and the prosecution has proposed that the court extend the detention of Saša Vuković, Mario S., Nenad L., Vuk Š. and Dejan S.
There is reasonable suspicion that Saša Vuković Boske illegally carried a handgun on May 12, 2026, most likely a “Crvena Zastava 9mm 999” model, along with at least 10 nine-millimeter caliber bullets, for which he did not have permission from the competent authorities. The firearm had a magazine loaded with ammunition, and he allegedly tucked the gun into his waistband when leaving his home and carried it with him throughout the day at multiple locations.

In the evening hours, he arrived at the “27” restaurant, where he allegedly murdered Aleksandar Nešović in a premeditated manner, after the victim had left the restaurant following a brief argument. Vuković called him by phone and, with a tearful voice, said: “Brother, please come back, I didn’t mean anything bad when I told you not to frown,” “You are my brother, I don’t want any bad blood, I only want us to be good brothers.”
Aleksandar Nešović, who believed the words of the defendant Saša Vuković that he had good intentions, returned to the restaurant in his vehicle at around 11:14 p.m. and sat at the table with the defendant Saša Vuković. At one point, the defendant allegedly knelt on his right knee in order to make the victim believe that he wanted to reconcile, the prosecution stated.
“After that, he pulled out a handgun and fired at least 10 shots at Aleksandar Nešović, including four to five shots toward the victim’s chest and abdomen. After a brief pause, he continued firing toward the victim’s shoulders and neck, hitting him with at least 10 projectiles. In this way, he inflicted multiple polymorphic injuries in the form of 14 gunshot wounds (six penetrating wounds, eight through-and-through wounds) and one graze wound, caused by projectiles fired from a handgun, as well as a large number of injuries,” the statement said.
After Saša Vuković committed the alleged crime, Mario S., according to reasonable suspicion, arrived at the restaurant on the night between May 12 and 13 at Saša Vuković’s request in order to collect his belongings, including money and a vest that Saša Vuković had left behind. He then, together with defendants Nenad L., Petar U. and Vuk Š., cleared glasses and tablecloths, collected shell casings, and placed the body of Aleksandar Nešović into a blanket together with defendants Saša V. and Nenad L. They carried it out of the restaurant and placed it into Nenad L.’s vehicle, a “Hyundai Santa Fe.”
After that, the vehicle was driven to Stara Pazova, and together with the body of Aleksandar Nešović, it was handed over to defendant Dejan S., who was allegedly asked to bury the body somewhere.
Mario S. is also reasonably suspected of throwing a certain number of shell casings, glasses, a fitness watch belonging to the deceased, and cigar butts from a cigar into the river from the Ostružnica Bridge. After that, he returned to the “27” restaurant, where he met again with defendant Saša Vuković, after which they left the restaurant together.
Nenad L., Petar U. and Vuk Š., together with defendant Mario S., collected shell casings originating from the firearm used in the crime. Nenad L., together with defendants Saša V. and Mario S., placed the body of Aleksandar Nešović in a blanket, and all three carried it out of the restaurant and placed it into his “Hyundai Santa Fe” vehicle.
After defendants Saša V. and Mario S. left, Nenad L. together with Vuk Š. and Petar U. cleaned blood traces in the restaurant. When defendants Saša Vuković and Mario S. returned after some time, they all left the “27” restaurant.
Dejan S. is reasonably suspected of, on May 13, 2026, following orders from defendant Saša Vuković, driving a “Nissan X-Trail” vehicle to Stara Pazova, where he met with defendant Mario S. During that meeting, they exchanged vehicles, so Dejan S. took possession of the “Hyundai Santa Fe” vehicle containing the body of Aleksandar Nešović, and Mario S. allegedly asked him to bury the victim’s body.
After that, Dejan S. placed Aleksandar Nešović’s body into a barrel, poured mortar inside, covered and welded the barrel, then transported it to a nearby lake in the village of Jarkovci, where he dug a hole and buried the barrel containing Aleksandar Nešović’s body.
Certain evidentiary actions continue to be carried out against Jasna Ž.
Regarding Danka Vuković, the wife of Saša Vuković, the investigation has been suspended, while criminal complaints against Miloš J. and Dušan V. have been dismissed.
