Members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SIPA) arrested a citizen of Montenegro, a member of the “Pink Panther” criminal group, at the Ivanica border crossing with Croatia, near Trebinje.
In a press release, published today on the official SIPA website, it is stated that the arrest took place yesterday and that it concerns a person for whom an arrest warrant was issued back in 2019 by the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Sarajevo Canton as part of the case code-named “Papirus”.
The arrested person is charged with the criminal offenses of “certification of untrue content” and “forgery of documents,” the statement reads.

Following the criminal processing at SIPA’s premises, the arrested person was handed over to the jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Sarajevo Canton.
For this person, whose identity has not been revealed, Sarajevo media state that he is a member of the “Pink Panther” group, an international criminal organization from Serbia and Montenegro operating since 2001, which is responsible for the theft of diamonds and other valuable objects across Europe.
