Prince Filip Karađorđević announced that on the final day of his traditional July visit to Hilandar Monastery, he was joined by his son Stefan and his father-in-law, renowned painter Milan Cile Marinković.
- It is a special joy and blessing when one has the opportunity to stay at Hilandar with those closest to them and together offer prayers to the Most Holy Theotokos. Such moments remain deeply engraved in the heart and remind us of the eternal values that unite and strengthen us, the post by Prince Filip Karađorđević states.
I sincerely thank our father and friend, Abbot Methodije, as well as the entire Hilandar brotherhood, for their ever-warm welcome, brotherly love, and heartfelt hospitality, it adds. For centuries, Hilandar has been and remains the spiritual pillar of the Serbian people, a beacon of our faith, identity, and continuity. It holds a special place for my family and is deeply woven into our prayers, thoughts, and lives. Every stay at this holy place brings us renewed strength, inspiration, and a reminder of our duty to place all our abilities, with faith in God and love for our homeland, in the service of our people and our state, Prince Filip Karađorđević said in the post, noting that the published photographs were taken by the monk Milutin Hilandarac.
